Change is Possible
Carlisle deserves an MP with real world experience, not a lawyer or a public relations spin doctor.
I knock on doorsteps and I talk to my neighbours and voters across Carlisle every day. So many are switching from voting Conservative - they are tired of being led by a Government with no moral compass. They are uninspired by a Labour Party which is run by spin doctors who will say anything to get into Government.
Voters are telling me that they want a local, practical person to represent them in Parliament.
Boundaries are changing. Carlisle now stretches from Wetheral to the Scottish Border and from the A689 relief road in the East all the way to Northumbria. It is now a mix of urban, suburban and rural areas.
Carlisle needs a focus on:
GPs, dentists, ambulances and mental health
Skilled jobs for the young
Lower cost transport
Affordable Housing
Elimination of sewage pollution & risk of flooding
Local biodiversity
Nationally we need:
Responsible climate change policies
Proportional voting
Access to the common market…
…leading to cheaper goods in & easier exports
Strong foreign policy:
Support for NATO
Stand by Ukraine and against Putin
Peace in the Middle East, not more war
Asylum seekers to apply from abroad
Restore the Animal Welfare bill dropped by the Conservative Government

The Lib Dem Candidate for Carlisle MP
We are all worse off as a result of this hopeless Government and the Labour Party which is now run by Public Relations spin doctors.
From Belle Vue to Hayton. From Cumrew to Penton. From Wetheral to Brampton and all the diverse and exciting urban wards in between: I will work with you to find solutions that work for us.
With your support I am the person to deliver the change we are looking in:
Health
Fairness
The environment
